We also organized Paper Presentation competition on “Green Computing” besides community program in
the year 2010 and 2011 for Computer Awareness. We participated in this program and taught computer

Since then the Chapter has come a long way with organising various technical and non-technical events year-long in the University. UPES ACM is not only the most active Student Chapter at the University but is also a huge family of more than 200 members.
UPES ACM is the first international Student Chapter in the Computer Science Department to be introduced in the University. ACM also started a very successful initiative for women in computing, i.e. ACM-W, ACM for Women. ACM was the first ever Chapter to start free mentorship programs with which many students and coders were able to improve their coding. UPES ACM has time and again proved it's success by winning various international awards throughout the years.
A way for students to learn C and interact with their seniors. UPES ACM devised this initiative to help introduce students to programming languages and their delights. Spy C melds the rules of code with the imagination of humans.
UPES-ACM and ACM-W hosts interactive technical workshops that helps foster innovation and sharpen skills. We at UPES ACM and ACM W, think of ways to make the world a better place by being the change we want to see.

On June 15th, the CSR Team of UPES ACM-W visited the Kalyan Smiti, an NGO in Delhi, conducting an event outside of Dehradun for the very first time. The team of volunteers taught high school girls about the basics of computers and various other application software during two highly interactive sessions. It was an enlightening session filled with knowledge and fun. The session was a complete success due to the efforts of the various volunteers and the Heads, but the key to our success was the enthusiasm of the girls who were bright, engaging and eager to learn. We were encouraged to walk on our chosen path by Kalyan Smiti, a dedicated NGO.LEARN MORE
Code anytime, an initiative augmented by UPES ACM and ACM-W in an effort to develop a coding culture within campus. It's an open minded atmosphere where there is room for error and ample opportunities to learn. In lieu of a student-teacher dynamic, we've chosen to build an environment where students themselves are pushed to harness their inner coder. They are encouraged to come forward with any programming language related queries, get their doubts cleared and master the language. There are no barriers; anyone and everyone is welcome. It's a platform where everyone is provided with the opportunity to code, learn and grow
It has been 6 years since I joined UPES ACM, and these past few years have been exciting and extremely successful for us. We have won several national and international awards for our hard work. Our annual event, Prodigy, has been a massive success for the past five years and I'm proud to say that UPES ACM hasn't ever hesitated from helping whenever possible, which can be seen in our outstanding CSR events and the collaborations we have. Being a part of ACM ensures that everyone can showcase what they're good at and constantly evolve. We strive to create a better environment for our members with every action of ours.
UPES ACM is a family that brings together the best of teamwork, dedication, and the idea of growing together, helping an individual to contribute to society. These small steps have lead to fulfilling the motto of "A Journey Set To Make Histories" and will be a critical pillar to the technical fraternity for years to come.
ACM for me is not just a student chapter, it’s family. A family where I’ve found friends, mentors and made a million memories. From seniors who’ve pushed me to do better on every step, academically as well as personally to friends who’ve supported me through the ups and downs. ACM has not only helped me polish my technical skills but also shaped my personality and also provided me with opportunities of a lifetime.
UPES ACM isn't only a student chapter ,but a family to me. I'm thankful to have been part of the chapter and I can feel the difference in me. I'm sure it will benefit everyone out there as much as possible and you will gain from everyone on this gathering. You'll not get the same improving background and the superb open doors anywhere else.
UPES ACM defines my fervor, my enthusiasm and my inquisitiveness towards my college life. Over the years it has been like an important part and parcel of my life without which I wouldn't enjoy my college life. Here you not only grow technically but also professionally, you get guidance and you mold yourself accordingly for a better cause. UPES ACM tends to bring the best within you which is why it is the best Student Chapter in UPES.
My life at ACM has been a great deal extraordinary from a contemplative person to becoming the treasurer. ACM has turned into a family helping us develop and adapt expertly for life ahead. Where taking responsibilities and making events success makes us proud, ACM gatherings unwind and makes all good times.
